The Museum Network: culture and territory to be promoted and safeguarded.
The Museo Civico Vittorino Cazzetta, in the village of Selva di Cadore, is dedicated to the memory of Vittorino Cazzetta. It gathers the finds of the three most important prehistorical sites of Dolomiti Venete Orientali (Monte Pelmetto, Mondeval De Sora and Mandriz).
The paleontological section hosts a collection of fossils dated from the formation of the Dolomiti up to dinosaur footprints, with the animated cast of the rock slab of Monte Pelmetto, site of the first trail discovered in Italy.
The archeological section holds the burial of Uomo di Mondeval, ancient resident of Dolomiti, who was buried for 7500 years in the homonym site with his rich grave goods.
The last floor is dedicated to the protohistoric section with a large number of finds of the late neolithic period.
